Blueberry mango smoothie with coconut | Glutenfreewhisk
Looking for a great way to incorporate fruits in your morning breakfast but don't have time to have fruits and breakfast separately then this smoothie will solve the problem. A sweet breakfast, because who does not love something sweet to start your day with, which is also a great meal to keep you going till your lunch time. I love my smoothies and I have shared two amazing smoothie recipes earlier that are so enriching and high in protein. This recipe is also a complete meal. I like my smoothies to be thick and balanced. But you can make it as runny as you prefer.
Half a mango
I am choosing to add coconut to my smoothie just to give it that body and add an extra layer of flavor than just fruits. I also happen to have desiccated coconut in my pantry always and I love to use it wherever I can. Since mangoes are in season and I have a summer recipe series going on thus, sharing a mango smoothie seems apt. So, this is episode 8 in my summer recipe series and this smoothie is addictive. Enjoy it throughout the summer/mango season because it is just healthy, yummy and you can play with flavors. Make it vegan if you want and for a vegan recipe of blueberry mango smoothie check the note below.
Other mango recipes that I have shared recently during this summer/mango season are guilt-free creamy mango ice cream which happens to be episode 1 of my summer recipe series, mango shrikhand recipe that I had no idea will be so indulgent and so simple to make and now it is my favorite, mango salsa recipe, obviously with my twist and flavors because why not?
When we talk about smoothie the first fruit that comes to our mind is banana, but smoothies can be without bananas and here is one such amazing mango smoothie recipe without bananas. Bananas do provide a body and a texture to your smoothie, but it can be avoided altogether. Adding desiccated coconut really helps. So, if you don't like banana, or you can't eat banana then my blueberry smoothie recipe without banana is for you. I am using honey to balance the sweetness but if your mango is sweet enough you can skip any sweetener altogether. Or use any sweetener of choice.
In the past I have shared high protein chocolate smoothie bowl recipe and it still is one of the best smoothies I have ever made. With our diets protein is lost somewhere and we are more focused on carbohydrates thus this high protein smoothie bowl in the morning will make your protein requirement sorted to some extent and that too naturally. Another amazing smoothie recipe that I have shared earlier is overnight oats chocolate chia smoothie bowl recipe and it is decadent.
If you love fruit in the morning as breakfast, then try my recipe of overnight oats with fresh fruits. I have made overnight oats with two flavors of fruits. Fixing breakfast can be a big task for someone who are working and have a family. Time seems to run. But with breakfast ideas or options like this you can make them quick, feed yourself and your kids and have a satisfied day ahead. Make overnight oats a night prior and again wake up fresh and relaxed. Grab an overnight oats jar and sit back and relax.
Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day, but I think all major meals and even snacking/tiny meals are important when done mindfully. Choose health without compromising the taste. This breakfast idea is with one such healthy breakfast recipe. Indulge!
