Coconut water ginger electrolyte | Glutenfreewhisk

This summer drink recipe is apparently a great drink for those who suffer from Migraine attacks. This is gingery, refreshing and really soothing summer drink and is one hundred percent helpful. The kick of ginger, the sweetness of honey and coconut water and the coolness of the drink altogether really soothe you. The best part about this summer drink with coconut water is that it can be made within minutes without any fuss. For better results I will suggest that you use fresh coconut water that is cold.

In my summer recipe series, this coconut water ginger electrolyte is another great drink to indulge in. And this is episode 22 in my summer recipe series. Ginger and honey together are in itself a healing combination and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine from a long time. Obviously with other magic herbs and ingredients. But at home, honey and ginger is still consumed as home remedy for sore throat and whatnot. Thus, when I came across this recipe to be a relaxer in migraine attacks then it was not difficult to believe and I had to try this migraine drink recipe.

In my summer recipe series earlier, I have shared a few great summer drinks already like the traditional Ragi Ambali from Karnataka, a healthy, fulfilling summer drink which is naturally fermented and is a probiotic. Bel ka sharbat, a naturally cooling summer fruit wood apple, that is widely used to make summer drink and it is so refreshing, sweet and fulfilling. You can try another naturally fermented summer drink with ginger which is raw mango kanji, and it is salty, gut friendly and with a kick of green chili that it will definitely refresh you.

This summer season is mostly about using summer fruits and ingredients to its fullest. Recipes with summer fruit like peaches, lychee, cherries, mango have dominated my summer recipe series, and I am happy with the number of variations in recipes that I have shared. This lychee green tea summer drink recipe is one such example. Or this creamy Peach sorbet recipe which will blow your mind if you try this once with the tangy masala sprinkle. I don't know for how long I should share summer recipes because monsoon season will approach next, but I think I will continue with the summer goodness for a little longer.

Coconut water is a natural and powerful electrolyte thus using it in this recipe adds to the benefits. Both coconut water and ginger are rich in antioxidants and thus are a great solution for migraines. Because lack of oxygen to brain heads to heavy head and with regional migraine pain. Antioxidant rich food has shown to help. Ginger has proven to work in migraine attacks and is commonly used in migraine drink recipes. My inspiration to use fresh ginger with black salt came from its benefits. Also, magnesium rich food is also helpful with migraine thus adding it in this drink seems fair. Since black salt is rich in sulphur, magnesium, iron, calcium and more hence, this combination is great.

I can say that this migraine drink recipe is one of the best drinks that you can have when having a migraine attack with no side-effects. This is great for hydration as well and is perfect to beat this cruel summer heat. A must try summer drink recipe that is indulgent.
