Summer drinks are life saver when it's this hot and sun is this harsh. Although I am not a fan of strawberry flavor at all, but fresh strawberry works differently than the artificial flavors, I guess. I will never eat strawberry ice cream, like ever. But here I am, trying this coffee and strawberry combination and to my surprise this is really cool. Using sabudana or sago pearls add fun and texture to your drink. And if you are a boba lover then you will definitely enjoy this iced strawberry coffee with sabudana pearls as it has the same mouth feel of sago but it's not sweet as boba is which is good because it reduces the added sugar in your drink. Make it as strong or as light as you prefer your coffee to be. Use choice of milk coconut milk, oat milk or almond milk whatever you prefer. I am not sure if this is the Starbuck style or even the best strawberry coffee, but this is really something. Being a summer drink, a lot of ice is a must, ice somehow elevates the experience of having cold coffee flavored with strawberry.
If you want to buy sabudana pearls, you can check these Sachasabu tapioca sago or sabudana pearls. I have used the same. If you are looking for Hazelnut filter coffee like I have used, then you can have Bevzilla instant filter coffee powder as it is strong with 70% coffee and 30% chicory. This is amazing and all their flavored coffee blends are good and worth the try. Although, I personally prefer flavor free coffee but sometimes change is good.
You can use any filter coffee shot of choice, even instant coffee. Make this strawberry coffee recipe vegan by using vegan milk of choice. You can try soaking sabudana pearls overnight and then boil it with a little sugar to make them sweet. But I have not soaked then overnight but just for few hours before boiling them without any sugar. Make sure you are not over boiling it because it will turn mushy.
Also, a tip I did soaked my sago pearls overnight and boiled them later, but they turned really bad. I don't know whether I over boiled it or what, but they became very translucent, super sticky and bad. So, soaking them just for few hours also cook them well.
