Overnight oats with mulberry | Glutenfreewhisk

 One of the best breakfasts ever that is good for gut, digests easily and can be made with so many variations. With mulberry or shahtoot season, I wanted to make the most of it and am sharing three amazing mulberry or shahtoot recipes. I decided to make my overnight oats with it, which is the third recipe in my shahtoot recipe series. Easy breakfast recipe with mulberry, oats and Greek yogurt.

With summers here no one wants to stand in the kitchen first thing in the morning to prepare breakfast that too a hot one. Cold breakfast right out of refrigerator are tempting and addictive when they are sweet and healthy at the same time. All you have to do it mix the ingredients together a night before and indulge the next morning. The best part of overnight oats breakfast is chia seeds and cinnamon. And if you enjoy peanut butter or hazelnut spread, I will recommend you add it to your recipe as it takes your breakfast to another level.

I like to keep my recipes simple and clean as I believe in eating clean and healthy food. I love eating homecooked meals and I enjoy them thoroughly. I hate spicy food and I can eat overnight oats daily if I have to with all these tasty variations on repeat if I have to. A) It's sweet breakfast and starting your day on a sweet note is just great. B) It has coffee shot in it. C) It is good for my gut. I don't think more reasons are required to make overnight oats breakfast your go to breakfast.

They are amazing because nothing is better than starting your day with fresh fruits within your breakfast recipe. Because everyone is so busy who have time to eat fruits, right? So many options and so many variations and it goes well with so many things. These are sweet, juicy and hand picking them makes your palms goes purple and eating them directly while hand picking is an amazing feeling. This feeling cannot be explained. It can be experienced. So, plant a mulberry tree and see for yourself. And the best part is it does not even require much care and the birds love it. So, you are not only helping yourself you are helping these little creatures as well.

This is the last mulberry recipe on my three mulberry recipe series and all three are sweet, tempting and worth the try.



INGREDIENTS -


Almost 1 cup oats

75 gm natural Greek yogurt

12-15 mulberries

honey, to taste

1 Hazelnut filter coffee shot

2 tsp chia seeds

1 tsp cinnamon powder 

Stevia leaves, for garnish (optional)


If you are looking for Hazelnut filter coffee like I have used, then you can have Bevzilla instant filter coffee powder as it is strong with 70% coffee and 30% chicory.



METHOD -



1. Take the mulberry fruit and mash it with a spoon with honey.



2. Once done to your preference, I have mashed it coarsely. Add Greek yogurt amd mix it to get the beautiful purple yogurt.



3. Now add coffee shot to it, chia seeds, cinnamon powder and finally add the oats.



4. Combine everything together transfer it to a serving bowl. Garnish with a mulberry and stevia leaves and let it rest in refrigerator overnight.



5. The next morning indulge in this sweet overnight oat breakfast with mulberry.



Note - Use any coffee to your liking. Also cover and refrigerate the prepared overnight oats. I didn't cover it and it kind of makes it a little dry. 

Personally, I use any glass bowl to prepare my overnight oats in and that is a reason this time I forgot to cover them so you can look for these, the better home overnight oats jar with a wooden lid and spoon. Pack of two, each being 680 ml. They are quite handy and multipurpose.
