Parmesan Crackers

Who does not love some biscuits with their evening tea or coffee and yes anything with cheese is super tempting and is a must have thing for me. So here is this another super yummy Parmesan cheese Biscuit recipe that you will want to have even for your hunger pangs.

For me Parmesan Cheese is a bit sharp and it also has some saltiness in it too so when I baked these biscuits I didn't added any salt in them and they came out to be just perfectly salty. I haven't tasted a lot of cheese myself and I am using Parmesan for this first time which was a good experience because every person has different liking and when it comes to cheese every one has their own choices.

I learned this recipe from one of my favorite chef, I watch her shows and programs since I was in school, I have made certain changes in the recipe but yes she has been a great inspiration to my bakes and cooks.

This is a simple recipe with simple ingredients and quick to bake. So it is a healthy recipe as it has no oil for frying, no added salts and preservatives and are baked. So get in your chef mood and bring out your kitchen weapons and get to work to bake your own biscuits for your perfect cup of tea or coffee.

INGREDIENTS:

Half cup Parmesan Cheese
1 cup Wheat Flour
45 gms Melted Butter
a pinch of Baking Soda
Milk as required to knead the dough

METHOD:

  • In a bowl sieve in the flour and baking powder add the cheese and butter and mix well.
  • Knead a nice dough using milk as required. The dough should not be too tight or too loose. It should be nice and firm so that if you take small balls from it and then flatten it to make a round cookie, the dough should not form lines and should be even (the dough should not break).
  • Once done cover the dough and refrigerate it for 20 minutes.
  • Pre-heat the oven at 180 C, grease a baking tray and arrange the round shaped cookies in it.
  • Bake for 20 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Note: The cookies will stay nice for 4-5 days in an airtight container.
